5 Things Sentai Filmworks Revealed at Anime Expo 2017

Did you miss the announcements Sentai Filmworks unveiled at Anime Expo 2017? No fear: we’ve got you covered!

#1: Haikyu! English Dub and Premium Box Set

With a single phrase, “CHANCE BALL!”, Haikyu!! cosplayers flooded the stage at the Sentai Filmworks panel to bring hype to one of our biggest announcements: Haikyu! is getting an English dub AND a premium box set. Pre-orders for the box set will be available online soon!

#2: More Dubs are Coming

Remember the first round of #TheDubsAreComing? Well they came back this year in the form of a game! By the end of the panel, fans got to learn about four confirmed dub projects:

  • Tanaka-kun is Always Listless
  • Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto
  • FLIP FLAPPERS
  • Squid Girl Season 2

#3: Food Wars! English Dub World Premiere

Audiences got their first taste of the Food Wars! English dub on Day 0 of AX2017, and they even walked away with a free Food Wars! poster. Share your thoughts about the dub in the comments on Facebook and Twitter!

#4: Princess Principal US Premiere

Steampunk cute girls with guns! This is the stuff anime dreams are made of, and the audience at the US Premiere of Princess Principal, courtesy of Bandai Visual, got to see the first episode before the summer simulcast season even began.  

#5: No Game, No Life Zero Extended Preview

At the No Game, No Life Creators Panel, fans got to meet Ms. Atsuko Ishizuka (director), Mr. Jukki Hanada (script writer), and Mr. Kenji Nakamoto (animation producer). After a riveting game of audience rock-paper-scissors, the creator debuted an exclusive new preview for the upcoming movie No Game, No Life Zero.  The full trailer will soon be available online on Sentai Filmworks’ YouTube Channel in mid-August.
