HOUSTON, AUGUST 18, 2015 – The world’s favorite battling butler returns once more as Sentai Filmworks unleashes its latest acquisition, HAYATE THE COMBAT BUTLER - HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH. Based on the manga by Kenjiro Hata (Weekly Comic Magazine SHONEN SUNDAY), which has been in publication since 2004 and printed serially over 500 times, the film features an all-new storyline courtesy of Hata himself. When the star-crossed mistress/butler couple take a trip to a secluded vacation retreat, they find themselves trapped in conflicting realities! If it’s not bad enough that Hayate finds himself in a world where Nagi seems to have never existed, Nagi’s having an even less wonderful life, trapped in a mysterious and deadly amusement park of doom!

Heading up the all-new production is director Hideto Komori, who also adapted the character designs from Hata’s originals, while the screenplay is the work of Yasuko Kobayashi (story editor/script, Attack on Titan and Witchblade). Rounding out the staff are several regular contributors to the Hayate franchise, with music provided by Wataru Maeguchi (Maid Sama!) whose connection with the series also includes Hayate the Combat Butler: Cuties and Hayate The Combat Butler: Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You, while veteran powerhouse Manglobe (Ergo Proxy, Samurai Champloo, The World God Only Knows) once again handles animation production.

HAYATE THE COMBAT BUTLER - HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH will soon be available through select digital outlets. Dates and details for the home video release version will follow.
