Sentai Filmworks Licenses 'Armed Girl’s Machiavellism'
HOUSTON, MARCH 31, 2017 – This Spring 2017, get into the biggest school throw-down of the century in Sentai Filmworks’ newest acquisition, Armed Girl’s Machiavellism, soon available to stream exclusively in the U.S. on Anime Strike, the curated on-demand anime subscription from Amazon Channels.
Rebellious Fudo Nomura has no idea what he’s getting into when he’s transferred to a school where the girls carry weapons to appropriately “discipline” the boys into submission. In the Private Aichi Symbiosis Academy, Nomura’s life is actively in danger when he becomes the target of Rin Onigawara, leader of the Five Ruling Swords, the five-girl group that commands the school. His only option: get expelled from the only school that would take him, or survive the wrath of these Machiavellian girls!
The series will be directed by Hideki Tachibana (BlazBlue Alter Memory, Dragon Crisis!) with series composition by Kento Shimoyama (Shomin Sample, Bleach, Masamune-kun’s Revenge) and character designs by Shoko Takimoto (BONJOUR Sweet Love Patisserie, Chaos Dragon). SILVER LINK, the same studio responsible for Chilvary of a Failed Knight, Tanaka-kun is Always Listless, and Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, is in charge of animation production.
Armed Girl’s Machivellism is scheduled for an April 2017 release in Japan. The series will soon be available to stream exclusively in the U.S. on Anime Strike, the curated on-demand anime subscription from Amazon Channels, for the Spring 2017 simulcast season with a home video release to follow. Anime Strike subscribers will be able to stream new episodes every Wednesday starting April 5.
