Giant. Freaking. Robot. Who DOESN’T want to drive a kick-ass GIANT ROBOT equipped with missiles, pile-driver powered punches, machine guns, and laser cannons. It’s a childhood dream in the form of a “vintage” mecha, and it even seems to have a mind of its own sometimes.

Roger Smith

He’s a highly-intelligent rich playboy with a butler and a beautiful assistant. Let’s face it: Roger Smith is like the Batman of Paradigm City. He’s a smooth guy that we can’t help but wish we were more like him.

Dorothy

Dorothy, Roger’s personal assistant, is a self-aware AI who learns from her mistakes. She’s an anime heroine who can BRING IT in a fight even against the city’s worst criminals. Also, we love her kuudere personality.

Film Noire Animation Style

The animation style of The Big O is gritty and smooth at the same time. It exudes the same feel as a classic gangster vs. detective film, and it fills that pulp-fiction void in our lives.

Catch Phrases

Say it with us and see if the Big O thinks you’re worthy: “Cast in the name of God, ye not guilty.” There are a lot of great catch phrases in The Big O, but one of our favorites is Roger’s mantra before battle: “Big O! And… Action!”
